Turner Gets a Mouthful

turner_discTurner couldn’t help but notice the crazy sounds from the park across the street. As usual, his favorite color, YELLOW, was on his one-track mind.

Tossing colorful Frisbees ®, ASU college students listened as Christian Challenge leader Trevor Bush said, “Don’t forget, fun stuff brings people together. Let’s use our games to become friends with the other students.”

Soon our pooch was right in the middle! What could be more fun than a game of disc golf to meet new friends and teach about the Bible.

Colors were flying everywhere. “Whoosh,” a blue flying disc sailed into the hands of a student. Oops, there goes a red one!

Turner also heard lots of questions … What’s your name? What do you study in school? Would you like to know how to follow Jesus?

Turner realized these college kids were using “FunTime” to teach about important stuff. Why, they were even giving away free pizza! Yahoo!

What a great day! Turner learned that teaching others to grow in Jesus begins with the first hello!

“Bing” … and then it happened! Turner saw the most beautiful YELLOW flying disc gliding right toward his mouth! Yup … his mouth was lit up like a lemon! Life is good!

Turner’s Tip of the Tale: Discipleship means helping people grow. Don’t forget to have fun as you go!
