Trinity Southern Baptist Church partnered with the Arizona Mission Network of Southern Baptists to host the First International Drive Thru Prayer Conference in Casa Grande March 25-27. With more than 160 registrants representing 15 churches, five states, 26 cities and two countries, the first-ever Drive Thru Prayer (DTP) conference was packed with amazing speakers and talented worship leaders as they shared with attendees this ministry that has a global vision to expand to all 24 time zones around the world.

David Johnson, Mike Blackaby and Rick Fisher (co-author with Richard Blackaby of Developing a Powerful Praying Church) were the featured speakers. The three-day event kicked off with an impassioned welcome to Casa Grande by City Councilman and retired Arizona Cardinals professional football player Anthony Edwards. Meals were prepared by the dedicated team of volunteers from Arizona Disaster Relief.

Rick Fisher inspired attendees with a call to solemn and worshipful prayer. His sessions challenged those assembled to go deeper in their personal prayer life for the glory of our holy God. With more than 30 years of ministry experience, his call to prayer was impactful and meaningful, came from a heart dedicated to the Lord, and from the perspective of a proven track record of following closely in His footsteps.

Mike Blackaby, son of Richard Blackaby and the oldest grandson of the late Henry Blackaby, regaled attendees with masterful storytelling as he unpacked some of the most important milestones in his life that demonstrate the purpose, presence and power of God. His personal approach to finding the working of the Lord in some of life’s truly difficult challenges was an inspiration to those who attended the conference.

David Johnson, executive director of the Arizona Mission Network, was a highlight of the conference. His dedication to the Lord arising from his personal experience in missional living was a living example of demonstrating and proving the scriptural basis for fervent and passionate prayer in the life of a believer. Even in the face of daunting setbacks that inevitably come into the life of a follower of Christ, the people of God are called to be a faithful people who Pray Until Something Happens (PUSH). Johnson reminded attendees that it is biblical to pray without ceasing and with great expectation.

At the conclusion of the conference, attendees were given the opportunity to share their feedback and thoughts. One hundred percent of survey respondents said they would attend another Drive Thru Prayer Conference. One attendee said, “I’ve been to a lot of conferences … but this is the best conference I’ve ever been to.” Another attendee wrote, “Dear Pastor Phil, thank you for the DTP Conference. The sense of purpose, unity and family still resonates in us … we are blessed and encouraged by the speakers and testimonies we heard! And, yes! to the 2025 Conference!”
