Giving through the Cooperative Program by Arizona Mission Network churches bounced back in 2024, surpassing budget requirements and the previous year, after a down year in 2023.

“We thank God for the faithful and sacrificial giving of Arizona Southern Baptists to the Cooperative Program,” said David Johnson, AZMN executive director. “Our churches rebounded in 2024 and gave over $100,000 more than the year before and exceeded the budgeted amount by $172,135.”

Cooperative Program gifts last year totaled $3,813,895, which was $109,443, or 3%, more than the 2023 amount.

The 2024 total was also $172,135, or 4.7%, above the budget requirement of $3,641,760.

Arizona Southern Baptists giving through the Cooperative Program, “enabled us to send more to national and international missions through the Southern Baptist Convention and give more to our partners in Arizona like Arizona Baptist Children’s Services and Gateway Seminary, as well as helping churches and ministries across our state,” Johnson said. “It is a blessing to a part of such a generous and mission-minded network of churches!”

The AZMN ended the year in the black by $99,111, with income of $4,266,459 and expenditures of $4,167,348. Income included the portion of Cooperative Program funds retained in Arizona, funds from the North American Mission Board, event fees and special gifts.

The AZMN Cooperative Program budget goal for 2025 is $3,741,760 in anticipated Cooperative Program giving from churches. The Cooperative Program portion of the budget is an increase of $100,000, or 2.74%, from the 2024 budget. The percentage distribution remains at the level set in 2023, with a 40-60 split between the SBC and Arizona, respectively.

For 2024, giving to the Arizona Mission Offering and the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for North American Missions posted increases, but giving to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions was down.

Gifts to the Arizona Mission Offering were $213,292, up $35,704 (16.7%) from 2023.

Gifts to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions were $672,453, down $50,205 (-7.5%) from 2023.

Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for North American Missions gifts were $446,231, up $11,359 (2.5%) from 2023.
