James & Katherine Burks*
James and Katherine currently serve at the International Mission Board’s International Learning Center, where prospective missionaries are trained for their new assignments. James is a medical consultant in IMB’s medical department in Richmond, Virginia. He helps applicants get cleared to go to the field and works with existing personnel so they remain healthy while on the field. Katherine works with missionaries currently living in Asia, helping them stay healthy and advising them when they are sick. The Burkses are still adjusting to life back in the States after spending several years on the field. They have a daughter in junior high still living at home. Their oldest daughter recently got married, and their middle daughter is a college student. Their sending church is Wellspring Church.
How to Pray

For James and Katherine to have wisdom as they help missionaries be as healthy as possible so they can have longevity on the field.

For the church plant in Richmond where they attend, that many will come to faith and be discipled.
