Don Vickers

Don is the Associational Mission Strategist for the Yuma Mission Network. This network consists of 16 churches across Yuma County. Don shares: “There are 208,000 people who live within Yuma Country, and 64% of its population is Hispanic. Each winter, about 90,000 winter visitors come to Yuma County, and the network has several RV ministries serving in the area. By God’s grace, in 2032, the Yuma Mission Network will be a network of 25 churches with at least one-third of its members engaged in missional activities, expanding the kingdom in Yuma and beyond.” (Don also leads Arizona Southern Baptist Disaster Relief, a partner of Southern Baptist Disaster Relief.)
How to Pray
-
That each Yuma Mission Network church would remain focused on fulfilling the Great Commission and be willing to evaluate areas that need improvement so that the church becomes more effective.
-
That Yuma Mission Network pastors continue to develop relationships with each other and that churches will look for opportunities to collaborate.
-
That the Yuma Mission Network will develop good church planting strategies to reach the region with the gospel and see new Christ-followers grow in their relationship with God and begin to serve Him.
-
That God would bring volunteers to Yuma County to help in this work.
