Arizona Baptists Serving TSMC Workers
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Ltd (TSMC) is a Taiwanese multinational contract semiconductor manufacturing and design company. It is constructing a large plant in northwest Phoenix which will employ up to 2,000 people initially, with an anticipated workforce of over 4,500. Many of their current staff have been transferred to Phoenix from Taiwan. Northwest Chinese Baptist Church and Valley Life Church Tramonto both saw a tremendous mission field and are offering English and life skills classes to the workers and their families at TSMC. In addition to English, church members are helping the Taiwanese to learn how to make doctor’s appointments, navigate the grocery store and offering friendship and community.
How to Pray
- For volunteers to readily offer their time and talents as they share life and the Gospel with these new neighbors.
- For those from Taiwan to feel loved, accepted and that the Holy Spirit would open their hearts to hear the Good News about Jesus Christ.
