Anna Quill*

Anna and her team — made up of three national partners, a Vx family, an International Mission Board family and two IMB singles — work with an unreached people group called the “Vx people” in a mountainous region in the Asian Pacific Rim. There are approximately 1.2 million people within the Vx people group, and, of those, only 4,600 are believers. The country where most Vx people reside has restricted gospel access. The goal of Anna’s team is to raise up Vx spiritual leaders who live in Anna’s country of residence and send them to their homeland to share the gospel. Anna’s two main tasks are to teach the Vx children God’s Word and to run a handicraft group that provides supplemental income for Vx families, as many of them live on about $80 a month. Anna claims Grace Baptist Church in Glendale (formerly Apollo Baptist Church) as her “second” church home.
How to Pray
-
For unity for her team, that in the midst of cultural differences, they put on compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness and patience, seeking to forgive one another and bear with one another in love (Colossians 3:12-14).
-
For the Vx spiritual leaders who are sent back to their homeland to share the gospel: that God would protect them, as there is often unrest in their homeland, and that they would be led with boldness.
-
That God would draw lost Vx people to Himself through dreams, visions and technology, and that, like Acts 2:37, they would be cut to the heart, repent and choose to follow Jesus with their lives.
