Gateway Seminary
Gateway Seminary is one of six Southern Baptist seminaries. Gateway operates a system of five campuses situated near urban cities in the western region of the United States. After 20 years as president of Gateway, Jeff Iorg retired last year. (Then, almost immediately, he accepted God’s call to be the president of the Executive Committee of the Southern Baptist Convention.) In April 2024, Adam Groza was named the new president of Gateway Seminary. Adam grew up in Arizona, and his undergraduate degree is from Northern Arizona University. Gateway’s Arizona Campus, under the leadership of Dallas Bivins, offers a number of master’s and doctoral degrees, as well as several certificate programs (gs.edu/about/locations/arizona-campus/). All Southern Baptist seminaries receive Cooperative Program dollars, thereby making seminary training more affordable. The Arizona Campus receives additional Cooperative Program funds from the Arizona Mission Network. It is estimated that more than half of the churches in the Arizona Mission Network have a graduate, current or former student of the Arizona Campus.

- That God would continue to call men and women to be on mission and that they will receive valuable training to fulfill this call through Gateway Seminary as well as the other Southern Baptist seminaries.
