Meet Arizona Missionaries

Gateway Seminary

The year 2026 marks Gateway Seminary’s 30th year in Arizona! The Arizona Campus is designed to serve Arizona students by allowing them to gain theological training while serving in ministry simultaneously. Gateway Seminary is one of six Southern Baptist seminaries, and it operates a system of five campuses situated near urban cities in the western region of the United States. Dr. Adam Groza, who grew up in Arizona and has a degree from Northern Arizona University, serves as President of Gateway. Dr. Dallas Bivins is the Director of the Arizona Campus. Dr. David Johnson, former Executive Director of the Arizona Mission Network of Southern Baptists, now serves as Gateway’s director of the doctor of ministry program and professor of leadership formation. Gateway receives financial support from the Arizona Mission Network.

How to Pray

  • For Dr. Dallas Bivins, the Gateway Seminary Arizona Campus, and its students and faculty.

  • For Dr. David Johnson in his new assignment with the
    seminary.

  • That God would continue to call men and women to be on mission and that they will receive valuable training to fulfill this call through Gateway Seminary as well
as the other Southern Baptist seminaries.
