Meet Arizona Missionaries

Josue Castro

Josue is the Hispanic Ministries Facilitator for the Arizona Mission Network of Southern Baptists. As a Facilitator, Josue is involved in meetings with pastors from around the state, both prayer gatherings and in working sessions, with the purpose of aiding in furthering the work that God has entrusted to them. Yearly, Hispanic Ministries holds Vacation Bible School training, a workshop with Lifeway Christian Resources to bring Spanish language training to Arizona, and UNITY, a weekend event for youth featuring worship, workshops and keynote speakers. They are also developing materials to assist English-speaking churches in initiating a Hispanic ministry in their congregation. He also serves as pastor of Iglesia Cristiana Tierra Fertil, with campuses in Yuma and San Luis. Josue and his wife, Carolina, have been married 27 years and have two children.

How to Pray

  • For Hispanic pastors and their wives serving in Arizona.
  • For UNITY, an annual event held in the summer with the purpose of transformation in the lives of young people.
  • For the continued growth at Josue's church which has resulted in the addition of a third Sunday morning service.
