Meet Arizona Missionaries

John & Wanne Dina

John and Wanne have been serving more than 30 years with the IMB. They are the leaders for the Training Team for the Sub-Saharan Affinity. For the past two years, they have lived in Nairobi, Kenya, after serving many years in Mozambique. The Training Team exists to serve, support and lead Sub-Saharan Africa teams to engage in the Missionary Task (entry, evangelism, discipleship, healthy church formation, leadership development and exit to partnership). This team also serves alongside African churches as they make disciples of all nations for God’s glory. John and Wanne’s home church is Royal Palms Baptist Church in Phoenix. They have three grown children (one serving with the IMB in Southeast Asia) and nine grandchildren.

How to Pray

  • For the Grow Conferences for new missionaries in their first 4-7 months and for those in their 23-30 months of service on the field. This conference is held twice a year (April and October).

  • For new missionaries to be encouraged as they continue to transition to their new country and learn a new culture and language and for those who are transitioning to the United States for their first stateside assignment.

  • For three Sub-Saharan Africa Iron on Iron Conferences for missionaries and their national partners. Pray for them as they come together to learn, share and sharpen one another on their efforts and experiences in church
    planting.
