Hispanic Ministries
The Hispanic Fellowship of churches affiliated with the Arizona Mission Network continues to experience great blessings through prayer gatherings, joint worship services and strategic pastoral planning meetings. “By working together, we will be stronger and more effective in the work God has given us,” says Josue Castro, Southern Baptist Hispanic Ministries Facilitator. There are currently 53 Hispanic churches in Arizona, and, in the past four years, seven new Hispanic churches have been planted. Hispanic Ministries holds annual events, such as a Leadership Conference; Spanish-language Vacation Bible School training (in partnership with Lifeway Christian Resources); UNITY, a weekend worship event for youth; and Renovación, a whirlwind event spanning three days, held in Yuma, Tucson and Phoenix. Renovación’s purpose is to challenge, lead to change and motivate in order to reach Spanish speakers for Christ. Arizona Hispanic Ministries is a recipient of Arizona Mission Offering funds.
