John & Wanne Dina
John and Wanne have been serving for more than 30 years with the International Mission Board. In 2023, they became the leaders of the Training Team for the Sub-Saharan Africa Affinity. They are now living in Nairobi, Kenya, after serving many years in Mozambique. The Training Team exists to serve, support and lead Sub-Saharan Africa teams to engage in the Missionary Task (entry, evangelism, discipleship, healthy church formation, leadership development and exit to partnership). This team also serves alongside African churches as they make disciples of all nations for God’s glory. John and Wanne’s home church is Royal Palms Baptist Church in Phoenix. They have three grown children (one serving with the IMB in Southeast Asia) and eight grandchildren.
How to Pray
- For John and Wanne as they work on trainings for Sub Saharan Africa missionaries.
- For the Sub-Saharan Active Leaders Training that John and others are developing for all missionary leaders. Pray this training, which will begin this year, will be well received and will be a great help to those in leadership.
- For the Grow Conference for new missionaries in their first 4-7 months and for those in their 23-30 months on the field. This conference happens twice a year in April and October.
- For new missionaries to be encouraged as they continue to transition to their new country and learn a new culture and language; for those who are transitioning to the States for their first stateside assignment.
