Your church can help provide clean water and the clear hope of the gospel.
The Arizona Mission Network is partnering with Send Relief to fund clean water access for people in Sub-Saharan Africa and beyond. And for just $25, your church members can help!
Why water filters?
It started with Zona Camp. In 2025, we shared with students how they could change the life of a family by giving them clean water using a ceramic water filter. The students responded with overwhelming generosity, and we were able to provide 500 water filters for families in Sub-Saharan Africa. If you have ever been to other parts of the world and have been told to not drink the water, you know how important clean water is to the health of children and families.
After sharing that story with our Send Relief partners, we volunteered to lead and pilot an initiative with the International Mission Board and Send Relief to fund the equivalent of 5,000 water filters that can give daily clean water to more than 30,000 people and at the same time share the hope of the gospel one family at a time. Just $25 can go toward purchasing a water filter for a family.
Send Relief can then use the money given to buy water filters and support other clean water projects in Sub-Saharan Africa and beyond, impacting families and communities.
Pastors and missionaries will take each filter into a home that needs it, show them how it works and then share the clear gospel that Jesus is the living water and that if they receive Him they will never spiritually thirst again.
Through this project, the gospel is being shared in individual homes by a local church, and people are being saved!
How to get involved
- Tell us how many $25 water filters your church would like to sponsor using the "Request Buckets" button on this page.
- We’ll give you an equivalent number of mini buckets for you to display at your church – on a Christmas tree, a table in the lobby or wherever works best for your congregation. You can pick up buckets at your association meeting or the Arizona Mission Network’s annual meeting in November. Or we can arrange another way to get you the buckets.
- Promote the project to your congregation using the video above and other resources provided by Send Relief. Church members can give $25 to fund water filters and other clean water projects by scanning the QR code on the mini buckets or by giving through your church.
- Every donor takes home a mini bucket that includes a fun, educational way to engage kids with the mission.
- Pastors from participating churches have the opportunity to go on a mission trip to Sub-Saharan Africa in April or September 2027 to hand out water filters and share the hope of the gospel.
