Brandon and Sandie

Brandon and Sandie Barrios knew that the Lord was calling their family to start a church in the community of Littletown in the southeast part of Tucson.


Christian Challenge Campus Missionary Lainee Pegelow, partnering in Flagstaff with Challenge Church and the other churches of the Grand Canyon Baptist Association, serves with her team of student leaders to reach out to the students of Northern Arizona University.

The communities of Asante and Desert Oasis, just north of Surprise, Arizona, are home to roughly 13,000 people and are expected to grow to as many as 65,000 people by the year 2035. Until recently, there have been no evangelical churches in this growing area.


Lucas Bass has served with Arizona Baptist Children’s Services & Family Ministries (ABCS) for 10 years. He started as a parent aide working directly with families involved with the Department of Child Safety (DCS).


Christian Challenge State Director Marc Hill, with over 30 years of collegiate ministry experience in Arizona, leads Christian Challenge in partnering with local churches to reach the 500,000-plus college students going to school in Arizona.


Julia Curtis moved to Arizona to work as a North American Mission Board missionary and to attend Gateway Seminary. Her classes in theology and education directly enhance her work in the Tohono O’odham Nation.


Raquel Williams is state director of New Life Pregnancy Center, a ministry of Arizona Baptist Children’s Services & Family Ministries.

Serving in the same Southeast Asian city for the past 13 years has allowed IMB workers Ethan and Jasmine Chase, who call Arizona home, to develop long-lasting relationships.
