Our Beliefs
On June 14, 2000, the Southern Baptist Convention adopted a revised summary of our faith as a witness to the world and an instrument of doctrinal accountability. We are not embarrassed to state before the world that these are doctrines we hold precious and as essential to the Baptist tradition of faith and practice. Four Questions for Arizona Southern Baptists
To accomplish our mission, there are four questions that every member of an AZMN church should be asking.
Who’s Your One?
Who are you personally praying turns from their sin and receives Jesus? Who do you care about enough to share the gospel with, to love, to invest into the kingdom? Each of us should have at least “one.” (John 1:40-41)
Who’s Your Next?
Every follower of Jesus should be helping others grow in their relationship with Jesus and in the calling to serve Jesus. You don’t have to be far ahead of the person you’re mentoring, just one step. So, Bible study teacher, who are you training to be a Bible study teacher, deacon to be a deacon, elder to be an elder, pastor to be a pastor? (Ephesians 4:11-12)
Where’s Your Next?
Where are you and your church living your life on mission? It might be a church plant in your city/area, helping a church revitalize or going on a mission trip with our International Mission Board. What is your Acts 1:8 strategy? (Psalm 96:3)
How Can You Help?
As a church in the association, how can you help other churches in the association? In our network? What strengths does your church have that you could help another church and what help do you need from other churches? (1 Corinthians 12:6)
